David Propis is Managing Partner of North American Value-Add Realty Partners. Prior to North American Value-Add , David had been a partner and Managing Director of Dunross Capital where he led its construction management group and initiated equity and debt investment from his syndicate of high net worth individuals, family offices and institutional investors. David’s prior experience includes 25 years in corporate finance, commodities and asset management with Merrill Lynch, Jade Special Strategy, and Agile Opportunity Fund He founded and managed two hedge funds completing structured debt financings, with over 125 transactions totaling more than $150 million. David is a graduate from University of Maryland, College Park with a B.A. degree in Speech and Communications. He holds a real estate license in the State of NY. Previously, David has held a CFTC license as a trader on the NYMEX as well as Series 7 & 66 SEC Certifications.
General Partners
Kevin Barry is a General Partner of North American Value-Add Realty Partners and its Chief Financial Officer. Prior to. joining NAVARP in 2022, Kevin was the CFO of Dunross Capital, where he worked closely with David Propis in the acquisition and renovations of 11 properties and hundreds of renovated units. Previously, Kevin was the Controller for Inclusiv, a not-for-profit organization working directly with community development credit unions. Earlier in his career, he was the SVP/Controller for the US Equity division at Cantor Fitzgerald. Kevin is a graduate of Fordham University and passed all parts of the NY CPA exam, and resides in Rockville Centre, NY.
Michael Brown is a General Partner of NAVARP, its lead underwriter, and the founding member of Rigel Investment Company, an owner of multifamily properties in the Atlanta market. Michael was an original equity partner at Dunross Capital where he met and worked closely on the modeling and acquisitions of value-add multifamily properties, directly with David Propis. Michael's varied real estate experiences include: multifamily property ownership and operations, commercial brokerage, landlord representation, property management, and development services. As principal, he developed and acquired multi-tenant office/warehouse properties, land, and multifamily properties. Michael is a graduate of the University of Florida's Fisher School of Accounting, holds a real estate license in the State of Georgia, and resides in Alpharetta, GA.
